Between control and morality: Women in the context of prostitution in San Francisco de Campeche in the 20th century

Abstract
The objective of this article is to generate a background regarding the socio-historical analysis of power relations towards women in contexts of prostitution in the city of San Francisco de Campeche, Campeche, Mexico, whose structure was conditioned by the control perspectives and morality during the 19th and 20th centuries. This has been reproduced until contemporary times, resulting in the propagation of stigmas and processes of exclusion of whose study still is considered taboo.
